The woman in front of the fabric
Cynthia York is a native of the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. She began quilting in 2000 at the turn of the 21st century. Cynthia discovered her passion for quilting upon learning she would soon be a grandmother. Cynthia wants her grandchild(ren) to know and to always remember the warmth and love of their G-Mommy as they lay wrapped in one of her quilts. Having began to quilt, she wants to share her passion for quilting art with you by giving you some small piece of her passion.
Cynthia mostly uses a sewing machine for patchwork quilting even though she is skilled in hand-piecing, applique and hand quilting works. Cynthia’s quilts have won many awards in the county fair and local quilt guilds. She is expanding her skills to include software guided longarm quilting services where thread art is king.
